Administrative Referral Program: A Powerful Remedial Tool

Our Administrative Referral Program offers employers a powerful remedial tool. It is a formal humanistic process that is used along with progressive discipline to addresses policy violations and deteriorating performance.  Our counselors are highly experienced in managing job performance referrals that require intervention in order to keep valuable employees. When working collaboratively with your Human Resource Department and a motivated employee, most performance issues can come to a satisfactory resolution.

Often, a job performance issue cannot be fixed without identifying and addressing the root cause of the problem. Supervisors cannot be expected to diagnose and assess the root cause of a serious performance problem; that is the job of credentialed professionals. We work with your supervisors to train them in the initial steps of documenting and addressing a problem, and teach them the protocols of when and how to make an Administrative Referral.

Our counselors work closely with your HR staff every step of the way. In the majority of cases, our intervention results in successfully rehabilitating the employee’s performance. In the rare instances that call for an employee dismissal, both you and your staff can be comfortable that you made every effort on the employee’s behalf and have documented the process in good faith.
